We've added a bunch of new features to the Extractor 2.2.2 to make it even more useful to school districts. Here's a quick rundown: - Fresh New Interface: The look of the Extractor has changed to blend in better with Windows XP and Windows Vista computers. We've also added a toolbar with icons that take to straight to the important functions of the Extractor. There are also minor fixes throughout the program to make extracting files a little bit easier.
- Windows Vista and Office 2007 Compatibility: You've all asked for it, so we've made the Extractor compatible with the newest Microsoft Office Suite.
- Automatic Updates: Want the newest version of the Extractor? Not sure what version you have? Not to worry! We've added a new feature that will keep your Extractor up-to-date no matter what. Just click into the "Help" menu and select "Check For Updates". The Extractor will automatically check for the newest version,. download, and install it.
- AutoFilter in the Data Preview window: Now you don't even need Excel on your computer to do autofiltering on a column. Just click on the autofilter icon
next to the column name. - Column Pinning: When extracting many columns, sometimes scrolling to the right in the data preview window can be cumbersome because the student names scroll out of view when moving to the right. now you can "pin" any column you want in the window by clicking on the pin icon.
Those pinned columns will stay in place as you scroll around the grid. - Selective Exporting: After autofiltering for a set of data, only the data shown in the table currently will export to a file. That way, you can filter for different groups and generate as many files as you want.
We hope you enjoy the new features of the Data Driven Classroom Extractor and hope that they benefit you greatly. Also, if you have a moment, please check out our subscription services that can also save you a bunch of time! As always, please let us know if you have any questions, comments, or suggestions. Sincerely, Mike Prosper
