What is the Data Driven Classroom Extractor?
STAR and CELDT data is stored on the disks in a “flat file.” When you open these files on your computer, you see something like the example below: a bunch of data with no column headings, no visible organization, and no information that you can immediately use. Many school districts are not equipped to deal with this type of file, so they seek outside vendors to help convert the raw data into useable information. The Extractor can help!  Using the Extractor, you can open these files instantly, in Excel format.

The DDC Extractor is easy to use. In just a few minutes, you can have all of the data from your data disks displayed in an easy to read Excel spreadsheet. No special technical or computer knowledge is needed to use this powerful tool. It has been designed with one purpose in mind: to allow school districts to gain access to the information on their data disks (both STAR test and CELDT files) instantly, on the day the disks are received.
